Used on my flash bracket at an all-day outdoor event with cold temps and on/off rain showers; flash never failed. Wiring is heavy duty as described, and flash locked onto cord's shoe very well, but camera shoe end has a weak locking pin which could cause it to come off the camera. I didn't have any trouble the day I used it, and it was easy to add/remove from camera as needed.

purchased this product along with adoramas flip bracket to use on a sony A290 model DSLR camera. The flash bracket was easy to install on the flip bracket, and the hot shoe of my camera. durable construction, and locks tight onto the external flash.

Moving your flash off camera provides excellent texturing, modeling and depth.

This cord is necessary if you are a wedding or portrait photographer that uses a Stroboframe or other bracket for off camera flash. This allows you to have slight shadow detail and throw the shadow behind and below the subject (invisible in the photo). It also eliminates the possibility of "red eye" in almost all photos. On the one hand, the lightweight 3' cord is a convenient size for use with the Stroboframe. On the other hand, it does not seem as sturdy as the Nikon cords, but this was for a Sony camera. It is much better than some of the cords sold on [...] and buying from such a trusted retailer, you can rest assured that it will work. Also, the price is quite reasonable.

These are the perfect answer to using a dedicated flash unit off of the camera and yet retain all of the dedicated features of the flash.
These heavy duty TTL cords are designed to fit the Sony Alpha Digital SLR Cameras that use dedicated flash units. They feature a molded shoe on one end that slides onto the camera hot show and locks to prevent accidental dislodging of the shoe. A second shoe mounts onto a flash bracket or light stand via either a standard foot with lock or a 1/4-20 thread. The top of the shoe accepts the flash unit. A heavy duty 3 foot coiled cord connects the shoes.
