Strange as it may sound this little item is useful for protecting the hot shoe when not in use. I have one for each of my cameras and probably will be ordering a couple of extra in the near future (they're easy to misplace).

Basic product. Protects hot shoe from dust, dirt & getting beat up. Quick shiping. Canon should really include one when you buy the camera.

It slides into the hot shoe groove a little loose, but snaps into the end and holds very well! Just remember, on Canon's, it has to be removed to use the auto flash... Good job Adorama!!

This item does not have a snug fit like the Nikon. I should have paid the extra dollar.

This thing is a disappointment. I know its only [$] but when you already have low standards for what you purchased and it fails to meet even those, you know you have an issue. If i needed a hot shoe cover and i saw one of these on the ground i wouldn't even take the time to pick it up. Its trash, %100 garbage.

Doesn't fit Pentax. I am sure it is fine for cameras it fits...

Perfect fit on my Canon EOS 60D - not too loose or tight. Protects the hot shoe contacts great.

Does fit loosely in the shoe, but does not 'just slide out' I will use some type of felt shim where it rests over contacts. It could fit more closely, but then it wouldn't be universal enough to fit most cameras.

Fits so loose it just falls out.
