Easy Change

I mounted a gimbal head on the original center column. When I fly, I wanted to go lighter with a ball head. With this short center column it is so much easier to replace the center columns than to remove the gimball or ball head.

Works exactly as it’s supposed to.

I bought this for an older feisol 3441s so that I could get the tripod as low as possible. I’m using it with a Siri c10s ballhead (only one i know of that is compact enough to still fold the legs over it even with the short column) as my lightweight (2.7 lbs ) backpacking tripod. Highly recommended if you don’t need or can live without the extra height of the standard telescoping column
