The unit does what it claims. It scans pictures fast and easily. It is also very affordable. However, the reason I returned it was because of the quality of the scans. The scans were soft and the colors were a little dull. Even after some post processing I couldn't get a satisfying picture. You can't adjust the focus which I believe was part of my issue and sharpness isn't something you can fix in post. I only scanned prints so perhaps the unit is stronger with slides. For the same price or less a cheap flatbed scanner will be of much higher quality. Of course, it will also take you ages if you have a pile of pictures. I think this would work well for someone like my dad who isn't as picky as me for quality. It will get the job done. For my tastes, it's clear I need to spend more to get what I want. Luckily Adorama's return policy was painless and the experience was at least worth trying.

Wanted to scan and save pictures, slides and film. Tried pictures and it did not work. Could not save to computer. So far not happy at all.

I love this scanner. It's portable, and easy to use. It scan very well, and very fast. Right to your SD card. Makes things very simple. It's like the easy bake oven of scanners. I don't like the copy/scanner combo's I have used. This one is great. I got it on sale. Well worth it. I scanned over 250 negatives in no time. Have a lot to go. Just hope it holds up.
