The Focusrite 8-Channel ADC is an optional 192kHz analog-to-digital converter expansion card for the ISA 828 eight-channel preamp. It utilizes Burr-Brown amplifiers and PCM4220 A-D converter chips, allowing the card to deliver superior performance that includes a dynamic range of 122dB and jitter of less than 250 picoseconds.
The card can be field-installed at any time and the 25-pin D-Type connector aids in integrating the ISA 828 seamlessly with any ProTools HD systems, as well as other popular hard disk recorders and mixing desks. Digital formats include an eight-channel single/dual wire AES/EBU and S/PDIF output, as well as an eight-channel ADAT Lightpipe (SMUX/SMUX2) output. Word clock I/O is provided via dedicated BNC connectors.
