The light modifier is a decent idea, providing soft light - however it does lose about 2 stops. I found that the chrome dome leaves a strange pattern and the colored dome proves excessive leaving a real strange orange cast. It doesn't clear with just a tungsten white balance, so you need to do a manual setting. While it does fold flat, it is still a large disc, proving difficult to find a place for in my backpack. It is also somewhat more difficult to put on and take off the flash that he shows, especially on a Nikon SB900/SB910. Even with the problems I will still use it, especially in outdoor nighttime events.
