I store my gear in this bag, and also use it for shooting sessions in the field. After doing a lot of research, this was the best value for size, configurability, protection, and ease of use. Everyone has a different collection of equipment, so to know where I'm coming from, I use it to keep two slr bodies, one 80-200mm F2.8 monster, a 70-300, a 50mm, and an 18-55mm zoom. Also one flash, 4 radio-controlled flash triggers, small box of filters, several camera batteries, and various cleaning supplies. That is all that fits, and that is pretty good. If I need to bring two flashes, then something has to get swapped out. I also hang a couple of gorilla-pods off of the side. There in one large front zipped pocket that holds a flash and a ball head, but not much else. There is a small mesh pocket on one side, but isn't well elasticized, so things fall out of it when the bag gets jostled in a horizontal position. There is a tripod/monopod strap on the bottom and a rain cover. There are two flat zipped mesh pockets inside that are good for camera batteries and memory cards. I wouldn't mind seeing more pockets in them for organizing mem-cards though. Overall, I am very pleased overall with this bag, except for the mesh pocket. I would change this bag in the following way: more inside flat pocket options for organizing memory cards, add a locking drawstring over the external mesh pocket, and add another wide external pocket on top of the existing one for more easy access external storage. Then it would be perfect :-)I only paid [$], so for the money, this bag is nothing less than outstanding.

This little backpack is a great buy for the price. It is well made, and holds a DSLR with lens, a spare lens, flash, and other small accessories. The only negative thing that I can say about it, is that the zipper will sometimes tend to snag on the fabric lip that covers it. However, that is not a problem if just a little care is used when zipping it up. Just buy it!

Great bare essentials bag. Nice quality but I am not thrilled with the internal layout. I would have liked more adjustabilty of the two side partitions. But good little bag for the price.

Is great for a beginning photographer. Enough storage space for all my equipment and only need to find in one area. Not too large/not too small. Fit great under seat on recent flight. Only complaint is the top flop does not open farther to get into back sections easier. All and all, I am happy I got it.

I purchased this for a gift for my bestest friend who got a DSLR and one lense for Christmas. When it came, I wanted to keep it for myself! It was roomy, very strong in construction, and most importantly the padding was great and I felt it would really protect her camera and lenses and additional investments. Would love to see it in other colors, but it was an outstanding buy when I got it at Christmas on sale!

There is nothing about this product that I dislike. Plenty of padding and numerous options to set up the velcro attached dividers for any combination of equipment. It has enough room for my Sony A200 and 3 lenses (18-70mm, 75-300mm, and 28-300mm), with room to spare for a flash, filters, spare batteries, charger and cable, misc cables, memory cards, etc. Two meshed zippered pockets inside the main compartment with upper pocket divided into two sides store cables, batteries, filters, etc. What the description does not state is this backpack includes two adjustable bottom straps and two side elastic straps for tripod attachment, an outer side mesh pouch on the opposing side, and a hideaway weather cover which tucks into a pouch in the bottom of the pack.

Great bag, not too bulky. Just right for the amount of equipment I carry. Good padding.

The biggest issue with this backpack is that it is very 'stiff' and bulky. Which, depending on your point of view could be a plus or a minus. It is definitely sturdy and padded enough to protect your equipment however, the padding also makes it somewhat cumbersome on your back. There is plenty of room and I haven't had any issues with the zipper getting stuck. I am pleased overall, but may not carry it on the back very much.

Plenty of room for my D90, 18-270mm lens, 50mm lens, SB600 flash, and other items with room left over to add 2-3 lenses later. If I had to complain about something it would be the rain flap over the zipper, makes it a little hard to zip or unzip, however the first time I get caught in a rain storm I will probably take that complaint back. Very nice grab handle on the top if you don't want to sling it on your back. Feels well made. Plenty of dividers on the inside to play with. Hidden rain cover in the bottom compartment which I hope I never need. Passports easily fit in the front outside compartment. Inside compartments nice for extra memory cards and battery.

Pretty much perfect for what I needed it for. Would be nice if it was about 1 inch taller inside so my battery pack/grip could be left on the camera, but there is room for it if removed, no problem. Good price, good product. I'd recommed this backpack to anyone that needs a nice basic one for sure.

I like the way is made but to small, not enough for regular equipment.

This bag is pretty good. It stores all of my accessories and lenses for my camera. I like the way you can modify the partitions so that bigger or smaller items will fit. The only drawback that I see is the zipper is very aggrivating at times. There is like a flap that follow the zipper all the way around, and it get's caught in the zipper almost every time you zip it closed or unzip it.

Great size for plane travel. It's lightweight, well built, and carries enough gear for a reasonably long trip. It forces you to pack lightly, but this is good because you will not bring anything unnecessary. Holds a D200, 15-30, 50mm, charger, cokin filter system, many memory cards, and a speedlight.

Very well built with lots of adjustable storage. Easily handles my DSLR with 80-200 lens plus 28-70 lens, battery charger, filters etc. Lots for the money.

Perfect for my needs. Holds camera with 100-300 lens plus 28-105 lens, flash, filters, spare batteries, shutter cable etc. Could be a bit deeper to accomadate battery grip and a little more padding for front flap. Other than that, perfect and a great buy!

It gets heavy if you fill it up and carry it a long way. It holds every thing I own with room to spare.

Overall great bag especially the price but the best thing was the hidden pocket on the bottom which contains a poncho for your bag just in case of a rain storm this was a great touch would buy this bag again.

You will not find a better backpack for the money. It is small and may not be large enough for everything. That is not a negative, however. You can have it on your back for a long period of time and not feel uncomfortable. This is an excellent product.

Got this product because I was going on a trip to Montana and was going to be doing a lot of walking/hiking and I hate shoulder bags, so this worked great. It held all my gear, including 3 lenses, filters, an off camera flash, and of course the camera body. It also held an extra battery, a battery charger and numerous cards.

"While designed for spending the day photographing zebras at the wild animal park", says Mary Farace, "there's lots of room for the kind of gear needed for serious digital photography, and the price point is so affordable that the Mary Farace Daypack also makes a great gift for your favorite photographer".
The Mary Farace Daypack backpack is made of Softex Nylon with lots of padding to protect your gear and has comfortable straps for carrying. It measures 14" x 12" x 6" so it easily fits within airline regulations for carry-ons and slips comfortably inside an overhead bin. The understated design is set off by Mary's signature on the front in hot pink.
The main section has room for a compact digital SLR with lens attached, and 9 repositionable dividers allow you to customize the case for more lenses, a professional shoe-mount flash and accessories aplenty. "I pack a digital SLR body with normal lens, whatever that means, in the middle section," said Mary, "and there's still room for three more lenses, including a hefty 50-200mm zoom lens." That leaves other sections available where you can stow a shoe mount flash and battery charger. It's digital ready! The 11" x 4.5" outer pocket has pockets for memory cards and lots of room for other gear, including manuals and "don't forget the sunscreen."
