About Griffin Technology StudioConnect with Lightning Connector for iPad
The Griffin Technology StudioConnect with Lightning Connector allows you to record audio and MIDI data to any Core Audio compatible app on your iPad 4th generation or iPad mini. It features a 1/4" mono instrument input for connecting a guitar, bass, or any other instrument level device. A stereo 1/8" connector rounds out the audio input capabilities on the StudioConnect.
The unit also acts as a MIDI interface thanks to its 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output connectors. You can monitor your audio playback from either the stereo RCA outputs or the front-panel 1/8" stereo headphone jack. The StudioConnect has a Lightning iOS cable for connecting to your iPad and acts as a 10-watt charging dock while in use.
Griffin Technology StudioConnect with Lightning Connector for iPad Features
- Audio In and Out: Plug your guitar into StudioConnect's mono 1/4" instrument jack and play directly into GarageBand or other apps
- Audio In and Out: Plug a recorder or mixer into StudioConnect's stereo 3.5 mm input jack and connect the whole band to your iPad
- Audio In and Out: Left- and right-channel RCA plugs give you line-level stereo audio-out
- Audio In and Out: For your headphones, there's a separate front-panel 3.5 mm stereo jack with its own volume knob
- MIDI In and Out: For your MIDI controller or drum pad, StudioConnect's rear panel gives you a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI-in port
- MIDI In and Out: For MIDI Out, there's another 5-pin DIN MIDI connector on StudioConnect's rear panel. Connect it to your sequencer, patch bay, or other MIDI gear. This lets you launch your favorite MIDI controller app and use your iPad as a musical instrument
