the LEDs are fine but the stalk becomes feeble very quickly. I barely used my light on a keyboard and soon it was sagging down further and further. Now it rests on the keyboard instead of illuminating from above.

I use this with my laptop that does not have a back-lite keyboard. when plugged into the usb port its not long enough to lay down on top of the F-keys. The bendable arm needs to be longer so the light bar can be centered onto of the F-keys. The picture they post is not practical because it blocks the monitor. I like that it is compact to pack and flexible and no battery needed.

I bought one of these years ago and have zero regrets. I use it with my laptop when I don't want to turn on the overhead light that would disturb my wife while she's trying to rest. I highly recommend it!

I bought 1pce 3 weeks ago and a second o ne today. It is very easy to use, compact and provides good lighting. I would suggest to put an on and off switch and to make the branch some 2" longer.

Tried to buy this at my neighborhood Costco. They had all the other stuff but none of these lights. Upon reading the above reviews I believe I will hold off ordering one until the dimmer and glare problems have been resolved. Perhaps you could solve both issues with a rotating sleeve the full length of the LED bar. The sleeve would vary from totally transparent on one side to much less transparent (neutral grey) at 180 degrees. Rotating the sleeve in either direction would both dim and reduce glare. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Not yet.

I love this Luna. It's very practical for me to use for camping, backpacking, and emergency. For camping and backpacking, I use it for inside tent and outside with a group of people. It's very compact and easy to use to flex the wire anywhere you want to point at something.

I occasionally want to use my Chromebook in a unlit room, but the keys aren't illuminated like they would be on a Macbook. This is the perfect solution, especially when it's in my lap instead of a desk. It's hard to avoid typos when my hands are in a different place.

Bought this light for a power out event as my wife has a phobia about no light. The Light was run off an Anker Battery and ran for 12-14 hours. No real power drain on the Anker at all. This is a very bright LED string. We had to remote it to a Staircase as it was so bright. It could use some sort of reduction method, or less LEDs. You could read by it with no issues. Product seems solid and is in our Go-Bag.

It is good for typing in the dark when using my Chromebook or laptop. Uses little power. I have use it with a USB portable battery as a emergency light. I pluged 2 of the Luna LED lights in the battery and it lit up the whole room fairly well lasting more than 3 days at 3hrs a day usage.

I've had 2 of these for well over a year now with this list of caveats: 1. stealth variation w/ no package labeling advising which version contained. USB plug flipped 180deg, result is when bending into needed "U" from USB port to aim light at keyboard, one model naturally points down the other points up & resists rotation by not staying where put. Since package not labeled, unknown what the plug orientation is until opening & using. 2 Variations was the explanation for customer support but I'm guessing truth is more insidious: consistency of plug rotation relative to where the light strip points is probably not even attempted during manufacturing! 2. Gooseneck simply not long enough for bending back over keyboard. In fact I don't think it's long enough for GZ's own illustrated example of wrapping the gooseneck around an object! I know about voltage drop concerns but you couldn't add a few more inches??? 3. FOV - Despite narrow light cone for LED's the packaging leaks side light "hot spots" seen on computer screen AND in your field of view (that's nearly 90deg!). 4. Bright, and with no control over output, too bright for many (computer) situations. Slide over or rotating "gel" color filter, AND/OR "brightness" switch would go along way! I'm using colored cellophane but it's not durable. 5. HEAT! Simply put the all plastic housing is terrible at shedding heat and also likely means less sturdy construction overall though I have not yet broken mine nor have they melted down (yet). Overall for the price (~$10US) these DO NOT live up to that standard despite putting out ample light. For a company blowing their own horn so loud I'd expect better than what a random generic China product importer would offer. Just looked again at these now that Cost Co has big display, same old same old.

Bought this unit last week, connected it to my laptop usb port and within an hour , it burnt out.Took it back and got a replacement unit.Now under test and i feel it gets a little hot at the back of the LED's.I think its a great idea, but the designers must redesign it, only to make it more rugged and extending the goose neck by 2 or 3 inches.I find it too delicate and one must take care of using it for it will break easily.

Great for using with a laptop in the evenings or early mornings! I tend to use it with Guide 10+, as the USB ports on my laptop aren't in the best spot. But it does work both ways! Will probably take it camping too in the summer.

Too many uses to list here. Best use is for night fishing: connect to a Guide 8 or 10+, place in a watertight box with clear lid, attach the box with a carabiner to your line and cast it out. The light works great for fresh and salt water. Also great as configured above for dive markers.

We got this light as an ad-on when we bought the Goal Zero Switch 8 Solar Recharging Kit. At first, we weren't too sure what we would use if for. Well, now it sits on the end table in the TV room for easy access. The LED light is great for when you have the house lights down low or off while watching TV and you need to look up something on your laptop, like who that actor is in that movie you are watching, and you can't see well enough to use the keyboard. Just plug the Luna LED Light into the USB port, and you have plenty of light without disturbing the others in the room. We use this light all the time!

My kids bought it for Father's Day and I took it to camping. I instantly saw how powerful it was as it illuminated the inside of our tent. The LED light is fantastic because it is portable and very easy to use.

I bought two (2) for each of my karaoke systems. As a Karaoke DJ, you need to see what people wrote down to sing. But the venues are almost always darkened for ambiance. The Goal Zero Luna LED USB Light solved my problem in obtaing a versatile, quality product which was very economical.

Mostly using it for camping, outdoor cooking in camp and in-tent for reading. Surprisingly bright, low battery draw, easy to use, easy to direct even light where you need it.

I use this for just about everything. From reading a book in camp, or cooking on the grill. It puts out a ton of light, but only where you want it. The wand design is sturdy yet super small and easy to pack.
