just what I needed
This product should fit the bill nicely. The screw is a little long for my RRS tripod so I had to add some washers. Otherwise it is just right for the snow.

Not only for Giottos tripods
This is not only for Giottos tripods, but for any tripod accepting a 3/8 inch screw.
The snow shoe lets a tripod leg stay put in the snow, which is now effectively a ski pole. The tip digs into the snow and the skirt prevents it from moving or sinking down.
This snow shoe's top has a 3/8 inch connecting screw. I bought three of these for my Gitzo GK2580TQR Series 2 Traveler Tripod, and they fit. I used the feet atop a snow covered Colorado mountain to steady my tripod as a took a panorama of the town below. Highly recommended.
