For the price it is a good value. I have used it to shoot video for some clients and it got the job done. The biggest two issues I have is in the magnifier. I have to place my eye perfectly to get a clear image. It is frustrating because I need to focus and can't until I make sure what I am seeing is correct. It takes serious getting use to. It is not like a pro video camera view finder so don't get your hopes up. The other issue is that it fogs easily at which point it is useless unless you constantly wipe it. The one BIG positive is that it ultimately works and is not near the price of other comparable DSLR view finders. Plus it looks really great and I like the design. I have used it on my 7d and T2i, I love the ability to use it without permanently attaching anything to my camera. If you are on a tight budget but need a view finder, get it, but I will be replacing it within a year.
