So far, so good

I have used this filter on my Tamron superzoom lens in order to take photos of clouds this winter. Once spring comes, I hope to use the filter to improve reflections and enhance foliage. First impressions with the photos of the clouds are good, although not as good as some of the other circular polarizers I have used. (That could be the result of the lens which I am using, however.)

A polaroid lens is a good thing. While I have not had the opportunity to use this one with my new Tamron lens, I have used them in the past and find them very useful in getting good shots.

About Hoya 62 Circular Polarizer

Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarised and polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camara lens.
• They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc.
• They also saturate colors and increase contrast.
•Polarizers come in two variations but have the same effect. Linear polarizers work with older camera meters; Circurlar polarizers are designed for today's newer split-beam metering systems used in auto focus cameras. Check your camera's manual.
