This star filter was affordable but produces great results. I've tried less expensive star filters but the effect from them was very week and sometimes not noticeable. This Hoya star filter gives a very clear and distinct effect. I am very happy with this purchase.

Looks Good! what I've noticed is that it gives a bit of a blurry and vintage look, but for some pictures, it's matched. I ordered 6starts as well. Will see how the other goes. I love it so far.

The filter adds that extra flare in points of light. Great shots in general. The filter quality was good but mine came with some scratches on the glass and a cracked plastic casing.

It?s pretty fun! If you can get it for cheap I?d absolutely say it?s worth it to mess around with. Works great with small strings or lights or dim settings with lots of lights.

Haven't used it on the camera yet but just holding it up to lights, it appears it will do everything I want from this filter. Shooting a Christmas Eve candlelight service at my church.

This is a very reasonably priced glass, not plastic, filter. It works quite well for holiday lights, creating nice stars. Wish I had purchased additional ones to fit other lenses.

Used this type of filter years ago when shooting with my film camera and that filter is long gone. So, I wanted to replace it with my camera of today and chose the four point cross screen glass filter. Of course, like any of my other camera filters - it is a Hoya. And like nearly all my camera filters (and other products) - it was purchased with Adorama. Both Hoya and Adorama are companies that have a proven track record and ones that can be trusted and relied on for the quality of their products and customer service. I've used this filter several times now and really glad I purchased it. Members of the photography group I run in town enjoy seeing my pictures using this filter. Thank you!

This filter will give you a strong star effect, along with a softening of focus that I found personally to be "arty" and pleasing. Be ready to get an overwhelming effect if you are shooting many lights clustered together or very close up. The lines are intense and the filter can give an odd cluster of spots and cloudy flare if the angle is too straight on and the light is very bright. This comes down more to the technique rather than a flaw of the filter, however. It is well made and the ridges on the edges made it easy to handle.

Needed a 6pt Cross Screen Filter for my Canon XTI. Had a Hoya for an old Minolta SLR years ago so I thought I'd go back to it. Very satisfied. No complaints. Adorama ships quickly and without any problems. I recommend them and will use them again in the future.

The filter is light weight and slim so it does not interfere with wide angle lenses. It softens the image and provides a nice 4 pt. starburst. it does what it is supposed to do. I am giving it a 4 star rating out of five.

I am very happy with this filter. It creates a nice star pattern and as far as my eye can tell it doesn't degrade the image in any way. Everything is still as sharp as without the filter on.
