It's a fraction of the cost of the OEM battery, but it is just about as a good. No major problems with this brand in three years of use.

Charge does not definitely last as long as a Nikon, but for the price, I expected some down sides.

I am an event and sports photographer with a staff of about 8 photographers working for me. I have promoted this item to all of them, it is a great value. I for one am always carrying at least 3 to 4 backup batteries with me at all time. I have now had by Flashpoint batteries for 10 months and have found them to hold a charge and always ready for a long day of shooting.

The batteries fitted into in my nikon chargers and cameras as expected, charged quickly, and lasted longer than the batteries supplied with my nikon D2x cameras. I do not think there will be any problems with this item. The price was right!

This product would not charge on my Nikon Brand charger. The Nikon branded batteries will charge on my charger.

does not fit well in the charger, you have to search for the right position to connect, not till the end, otherwise all of the lights of the charger will blink.

Cheap but the battery does not fit well into the Nikon OEM charger and I finally had to use a rubber band to keep the battery properly seated in the charger. The battery did charge after using the rubber band. The battery also fit tight in my D3 but does work and appears to be holding a good long lasting charge. I purchased two batteries, both required the rubber band during charging. I should not have to use a rubber band during charging. The old adage you get what you pay for comes to mind.

I've been using a couple of these for the past year, without any problems. The only thing that is questionable about the product is the instructions which say to charge the battery before using. THe instructions should read: Install in camera first to check battery level. If the battery is dead charge, if not do not put on charger as the charger (Nikon MH21) can destroy a fully/partially charged battery.

The first batteries I received from Adorama did not hold charges, but the customer service staff repalced them promptly. So far, all of the working batteries I've gotten have worked flawlessly. These are a good alternative to the Nikon-brand batteries.

Bout as a back up to the Nikon battery or my D700 and ended up using this one as the main battery. Holds a charge very well and is a great value.

I needed a back-up battery pack for my D2xs. While I usually only buy Nikon gear, this Adorama replacement works just as good as the EN-ELe battery. Highly recommended.

This battery didn't work the first time and didn't work after being replace either. With battery chargers and batteries in my opinion you have to bite the bullet and get the oem models.

Well, 10 months and about a dozen recharges later .........It's dead! Lets face it, it's a quarter the price of the Nikon battery. It gives you a quarter the shots on a charge as the nikon battery. I've had a D70s, a D300, and a D700...........The batteries ALWAYS out live the cameras! This is the first time i've had a battery go bad. You get what you pay for. It was a nice sense of security to have a backup, but really I get better than a couple thousand shots out of the nikon battery....( less as time goes on) Actually for the machine these batteries run, it's not a bad deal. Just don't expect a nikon product for a quarter the price........Its not the same battery!

This is the second battery. The first one died, before I had a chance to use it. Adorama replaced it with no qestions. When I got the frst battery I read the owners manual, It states "This battery is not charged when shipped from the factory. Use only the charger specified by the manufacturer".So IAW the manual I put it on the Nikon MH-21 charger. The battery was dead the next morning.[...] in the mean time I looked over the manual for the charger. It states "Do not attempt to recharge a fully charged battery. Failure to observe this precaution will result in reduced battery performance."When I got the replacement, I put it into my camera first, which showed a fully charged battery, rather than one than needed charging as per the battery manual. Have charged this battery 4 times since I got it and it's going strong.Bottom line, greart battery for the price, but check the charge befor you attempt to charge it.

These are a good deal compared to the Nikon equivalent. I ordered 2 [...] Only concern might be reliability based on my experience with 2. Both now work great and I get 8 fps with my D300.

Great for the price. I shoot with a Nikon D3s. You need a spare when your a pro, or even if you're an amateur. I don't think you can beat the price.

This battery is better than the stock Nikon EN-EL4 in that it provides 2400mAh of juice as opposed to the stock 1900mAh. The newer stock Nikon EN-EL4a pumps out 2500mAh so this is just a hair off. The battery fits perfectly into my D2H and D700's MB-D10 grip + BL-3 cap. This will last for thousands of actuations and if you take advantage of the price break at an order of 2 batteries, you'll run out of CF space long before you run out of juice. I'm headed out of town soon and will confidently leave my chargers at home. x2 EN-EL4 plus a couple EN-EL3s just in case will do me fine. I'll need to buy more CF cards before I need more juice.

Great price and a quality product. No need to purchase the higher priced batteries...you can count on this battery for your D2H! A number of my shooting buddies use this battery as well.

Typical aftermarket knockoff from China as most private label are, in Li-ion componentry since other countries who worked with Li-ion have had fires and explosions.(see SONY JAPAN 1995 and Toshiba 2007 Laptop) With that said, they are a savings over the Nikon part, and possibly may of come from the same vendor. You need the BL-1 to complete the assembly as shown, or remove it from your dead one as some [*] haven't figured that out yet.

[...] The batteries work great - if you don't want to remove the end cap each time, buy an extra one.

I have purchased 3 batteries 2 for my nikon D2xs and 1 for my Nikon F6 with the additional Nikon BL-1, and Nikon BL-3 Battery Covers. I have not had any problems with either of my Cameras. The previous comment was proably written from someone that has not taken the time to read the manual. if he had purchased the battery from [...] he would still need to do one of the following:Remove the Nikon BL-1, Battery Chamber Cover for off the old battery and place it on the new batteryorpurchase another Nikon BL-1, Replacement Battery Chamber Cover for the D2H & D2X for his new battery. It is that simple . Do to the fack that it has no end cap for this battery it is worthless to me. I would have been better off to buy the nikon, but i went with the advice of the salesman who said it was just as good.
