After one year of using these 5 batteries they fail to hold charge, ie worn out. My original Canon battery is still going strong. I bought it on sale, so it was a good value, but at the current price, I would say no. My Canon S100 is a real power hog, so I suggest people buy plenty of batteries.

The factory battery has the Underwriter's Laboratory "UL" approval stamp, the FlashPoint battery does not. I have used the Flashpoint battery extensively for the past 2 months in my Canon S100. I personally have not had any problems with the Flashpoint battery. I really haven't paid much attention to how long the FlashPoint battery lasts against the factory battery, but on a cursory level, it doesn't quite last as long as the factory battery. The Canon S100 draws a lot of power, so I recommend multiple spare batteries if you anticipate taking many photos or do extensive videoing. Overall, I would recommend this battery as a good value.

An extra battery in a necessary addition to any camera.

Does its job as a backup but it doens't last as long as the OEM Canon. For the price, its ok.

This is not the battery that is pictured. You will get a 3.7v 1000mAH battery, just in case you miss that one little line for the description.

My last P&S used AA batteries (and old Olympus 500 or 550). When it died I asked for the Canon SX 210 IS for Christmas. Nice camera but it uses proprietary batteries. After reading many reviews concerning the length of the battery life, I could see I needed a backup. The Canon battery is a little expensive and I just wanted a backup so I looked around and got this. The only issue is that freshly charged, it shows partially charged in the camera. This may change after I run it down and then fully charge it and let it sit a little beyond the fully charged indicator. (Seems other batteries when new said to initially let them sit beyond fully charged indications to make sure it was fully charged and conditioned.) Other than that it works great. I would recommend this over the Hong Kong FleaBay specials. I bought one of those for my Nikon D300 and it worked until it came time to recharge. It wouldn't! No matter what I did, it wouldn't recharge. Sending it back was a pain and almost more than the cost of the battery (by a lot!) but I managed to get my money back. -- With that in mind, this battery works great and I know Adorama will stand behind it so I am not worried. More usage will give me a better feel for the battery and its life.

After having these a very short time (2 of them), they will not hold a charge. Going to buy a new Canon one now. Very unhappy.

My wife's PNS 850IS battery wasn't holding a charge very well anymore, for about 1/3-1/4 of the cost of OEM, this is a great replacement!

You can bet that your camera battery will go flat in the field, on the job, not at the end of the day at home where you have time to recharge it! You need two batteries and this Adorama battery provides me very affordable backup.

I purchased two of these for my girl friend since she lost her original Canon battery. She went to Europe for 10 day and used the batteries through out. She had no problem with the batteries and took a total of 2.5 gigs worth of pictures. She told me that the battery performed well and never had any problems regarding loss of charge. I would totally recommend these replacements. They are well built and will perform to the standards that you expect.

I am happy with my decision of buying a backup battery for my Canon SD-880 IS camera from Adorama. No issues so far. Works as good as the original one from Canon:)

These batteries work great, and, in my hands, are indistinguishable from the name brand battery that came with the camera. On our recent vacation, the battery lasted a full day of sightseeing/photographing, and recharged while we were at dinner. In addition, I got two of these for the same price as 1 OEM battery. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Battery used in a Canon SD 890IS and swithced out between the Canon battery which came with the camera. Camera is used daily and one or the other battery is is always on charge. Batteries are exchanged well before the loose charge so it is hard to say how well it will hold a charge. Both batteries seem to perform equally over the 2 month period this camera has been in use.

If you do multiple dives in one day as I do, you definitely need a back-up battery. You don't want to run out of power just as the best shot of the day swims by. This battery takes a full charge and delivers hundreds of shots with a flash. I would certainly highly recommend it to anyone with a digital camera.

I placed the battery in the camera a week ago upon rceiving it. Yesterday, Saturday, I used the camera out of doors for 5-6 hours. The battery finally gave out this evening. I am well pleased as I will be in situations (foreign missions) where I need to have the batter last all day without recharging. I am quite well pleased.

It works fine, and is much less than the OEM version. The only downside is that the cap that covers the terminals on the OEM battery doesn't stay on this battery. It fits fine in the camera though... No complaints.
