Don't waste your money!!1

Dead after a month!!! Don't buy this battery. Spend your money on a Canon battery or you will be sorry. I learned the hard way.

Do not buy

I purchased this battery as a backup for weddings I was shooting this past fall. It worked beautifully at the first wedding. Unfortunately, at the first football game the following week, the battery cracked down the side, fell out of my camera, and shorted out my camera's electronics. (I have a Canon Mark II 1D.). $204.00 later for camera repairs, my camera MAY work properly again; but I don't know, I have to purchase new batteries (Canon recommended I throw away all four of my other ones). DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BATTERY. THE CHEAP BATTERY PRICE IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE OF HAVING TO REPAIR YOUR CAMERA AFTER USE.

Absolute Garbage

This is a really, really poor excuse for a battery. I stupidly purchased four. Of those, one would not charge at all and the other three only held a charge overnight, at best. And, yes, I did three "refresh" cycles on each before testing, actually on three of the four as one battery refused operate in any way at all, other than to make the both lights on the charger blink frantically. I have since purchased four Delkin Devices NP-E3 replacements and they are fantastic. Do not buy the Flashpoint NP-E3 unless you have a need for a battery-shaped paperweight.

won't charge and latch won't lock shut

I just bought it today. At the store it indicated having a charge. When I got home I plugged it into my canon charger for a normal charge and after 2 hours the red and yellow were blinking rapidly. I put it in my camera to check the charge and it showed zero charge/fully dead batt. I also noticed that it doesn't hold the charger cord properly and loses it's connection at the slightest touch. And the locking latch just flops around and won't stay flush to camera so that would prob break off. Right now I'm trying to refresh the batt... hopefully it won't blow up.

Works as advertised

The Adorama NP-E3 replacement battery works well but must be held into the camera tightly to secure the latch. Not enough experience with this one to say if the charge and reliability match the Canon battery, but other Adorama batteries I've purchased have worked just fine.

Replacement Battery

I always keep a spare, and one of my spares is having problems keeping power going in my EOS1DMkII. This new battery reminded me how long these things hold a charge, as I took over 1000 images on the new battery last weekend, and it will probably still hit another 1000 with no problem. This is one of the better features of the system, although I have been happy with the rest. The other battery that went out has probably gone through 200 charges, I would guess, so no complaint with it, even if it required replacement.

Doesn't work reliably, likely contacts

Doesn't make reliable contact in Canon 1D, and because of this issue I can't use it, a waste of money.

Rather get the Canon battery

The battery does not fit the camera body well. I have lost numerous shots because it does not make contact properly when the camera is in the vertical position. No problems with the Canon batteries.

Excellent product

This product performed beyond expectation and was an improved replacement over the original factory supplied battery. Very good value.

Not bad for the price

I've only had this for a short time, but it works fine when the contacts all connect fine. Occasionally, they won't and it shows a low battery and won't work. That is my only issue at this point. For the price, it most likely worth it.

Nice try

After one use and rubber seal pushed the battery away from the camera and made the contacts pull away from camera. This my 3rd np e3 and by far the worst. Too bad they didn't make it with better rubber.

So far so good

I bought it for a back-up and have really only used it once. I took around 800 images at a fight with my MkIIn and the camera still indicated a full charge.
