Difficulties I didn't expect
I needed something to store photographs while I was on vacation and away from my computer. I made the wrong assumption about the ease of using the Jobo Giga one. It was fine until I wanted to add new photos. I quickly realized that clearing the old photos off was not going to be easy. It has to be done via the Internet. It is not designed to be re-formated by itself. What directions there were regarding using the internet to format were too confusing for me. By the time I realized this problem it was too late to send it back. There was nothing in the write up to give me an idea of this problem. I was, and remain, frustrated by it.

Fantastic
The Jobo Giga One is easy to use, solves many problems, allows one not to have so many memory cards, is portable and a great item.

This product was very useful for a recent trip to France. I have some CF cards but wasn't sure that would be enough, so I purchased the GIGAone to store images until I got home. It worked well. I would recommend using it while plugged in or make sure it has a full charge. I thought it was easy to move images from gigaone to my computer.

Works as advertised.
The product is handy and portable and basically works as advertised. The only big frustration is not being able to tell for sure that all the photos have been successfully stored until after the trip is over and I can attach the drive to a computer. So far, there has never been a problem.

JOBO Giga One 40 gb
This product was (still is) an awesome device! I used it on an extended road trip this summer to save images from my memory cards. For the money, it dodesn't get any better! It was fast, held a charge really well, survived the heat of Yellowstone in July and the temp changes at night with no adverse effects. It recharged quickly off of the power inverter and the computer (USB)I'm still using it to store images!
