This printer delivers pro quality results. The monochrome prints are superb. As with all printers of this quality, the ink is expensive. Color prints are also excellent.

I had difficulty getting the new iMac to recognize the printer. The problem was resolved when, at Apple's suggestion, I tried using a USB connector in place of the FireWire supplied with the printer. I have experienced no difficulties since making the connector change. Fast print speed often produces lined prints. I have best results unchecking the fast print option. I am new to digital photography, and I found the interface with Adobe CS3 neither intuitive nor particularly well outlined in the printed materials or in Epson or Adobe help features. I have the good fortune to have a friend with considerable experience to guide my efforts. After about an hour of his help, I was able to produce good prints and even make use of a few special features. The black and white prints are as good or better than anyting I have been able to produce in a darkroom. I expect, however, I will spend many hours learning the basics of quality digital printing, and it will be some time before I will be sufficiently schooled to take advantage of this printer's capacity. In short, I believe this printer is capable of truly fine work provided the driving software is well understood.

I am a professional photographer and with this product I am able to print all of my own images and sell them to my customers with confidence. I know that I am providing them with a superior product. The one downside to this printer is the high quanitity of ink it uses. That is true for most printers these days anyway. I can create prints up to 13X 19 with precut Epson papers or use the rolls which can also be cost-effective. I also use it for my fine art prints that I sell or show. I am very happy with this product!

Wonderful images. Rather expensive to use (paper and ink costs) and it took some time to learn to use properly. It seems to consume a lot of ink and with 8 cartriges, it is a hassle and costly, but worth it nonetheless.

This printer when used with Epson inks and paper produce superior prints both color and black and white the rival anything that come out of a darkroom. I’m a disabled retried engineer taking an advanced photography course at the local community college and am the only student using a digital camera yet my work out put is judged against any of the other students taking this course. I use a Canon XTi camera (with various lenses depending on the assignment), Photoshop CS2 and the Epson R2400 printer. Our work is in black and white which is very demanding on a printer as color covers a lot of printer sins that black and white holds out in glaring relief. Needless to say I am extremely pleased [...]
