This is the 2nd digital camera I've bought. The first was a cheap Kodak EasyShare that I bought years ago, so I thought a newer, more expensive camera would blow my old camera out of the water. The quality is all right, but I wasn't initially impressesd. For a small point-and-shoot it has a lot of useful features, however, so I've been experimenting with them to improve the quality of the shots. It doesn't function well in low light even with the flash, but overall I'm happy to have a fully-functional camera that easily fits in my pockets. The GPS is fun but very slow and not terribly useful, so don't buy this camera just for the GPS. Sidenote: I use a MacBook Pro with a broken SD card reader. Fujifilm's program does not like Apple, and the USB cord is 1.0 or 1.1 and painfully slow. This will be a frequent annoyance for me, and if I had to do it again (with the same computer) I would probably look elsewhere. PCs or computers with good SD card readers shouldn't have this problem, however.
