This is a inexpensive camera for use underwater or in wet locations. During a recent beach vacation, it was fine for use during the day on the beach and underwater. However, this camera is fairly bad in low-light conditions. The camera is very small and fits easily into a pocket while traveling. It is so small that it sometimes is difficult to handle. On the beach and in bright sunlight, this camera took average photos. In low-light and indoor shots, the camera didn't perform well. At ISO 400 and above, noise quickly becomes a problem. This camera does not include image stabilization, so higher ISOs are required indoors. Shutter lag is fairly long, but nothing unexpected for a compact digital. The battery is nothing too special. We had to recharge twice in order to take 350 photos. Our normal compact digital for dry settings is an old Finepix F30. The F30 outperforms this camera in terms of battery life, overall image quality, and low-light ability. In short, if you want an inexpensive camera for brightly lit wet locations, this will fit the bill. I would use this camera only for the beach or pool and bring along another camera for any other shots where water is not a concern.
