I've been like a kid on Christmas morning since last September when I first learned about the X-100. Mine came last week. It is truly a thing of beauty and exquisite craftsmanship. The photo quality is stunning, the lag time between shots is almost nonexistent.If you want a camera to shoot sports events or birds in the wild, this isn't the camera for you. With a fixed lens equal to about 35mm in a film camera, this camera gives you shots that are similar to what you see through your eyes. The shot quality is so good that a modest amount of cropping to achieve a digital zoom can be done on the computer before printing. The fact that it has a viewfinder was one of the driving reasons I wanted this camera. I feel more "in the shot" viewing through a viewfinder & the x-100s is a really good one. This is my sixth digital camera, as I have been always reaching for more shot quality, better build quality, and greater control. I feel at this moment that I will not need to upgrade this camera for a long time, it feels to me like the "total package"
