We are running passport business in Canada, and used this model for passport photo printing, which was so great, fast, nice color. So I bought 2 set of printer, one as backup recently due to its great performance. However,it doesn't true anymore, recently, Hiti has changed the material of ribbon (less glossy from appearance)and paper (more thinner), now, the printout is terrible, off color, thick pixel. I have contacted their support team, nothing they can help to get rid of this, pls. take a serious consideration if you plan to buy it for photo printing.

Bottom line, this is a great printer. Much smaller than my last printer, with more precise colors. I love the fact that it will cut a 4"x6" into 2- 2"x3" strips for me. Mac drivers are not included, so you have to download them from their website. Relatively simple.

This is my first purchase of a dye-sub printer, and I am in love with this machine! The machine itself is easy to use. I was able to find some youtube videos to help. My only complaint is the software it comes with is not so intuitive. If you want to make your own event templates, photoshop know how a must. Otherwise, what a great buy! The quality of the photos are like those you'd get at a local lab. Perfect for open/closed photo booths at events.

I bought this printer to print photo booth photos at events. It works great! It was a little difficult to set up with a Mac to cut photos in half, so we ended up using a PC. That is my main complaint.

I have had this printer now for about 3 months for my photo booth company ([@]), and it has done nothing but delivered! I will be purchasing another one within the next 6 months. The picture quality is amazing and print time is probably close to about 20 seconds. This is when the pictures are done getting taken, then it processes them, then prints. Great investment!

We're using this printer to print photos using the included event software. Once everything is set up, all you have to do is drag a photo into the correct folder, and within a moment, you have an beautiful print. Works faster when sending multiple photos. (First one sent to printer takes a while....) You can get 3 or 4 4x6 photos printed in a two minute time period. Photo quality is outstanding for the price of the printer / media! It jams on occasion, (maybe once per 35 photos or so) but it's not too difficult to clear. Aged events software is in need of an update... But we were able to get it working adequately on Win-7 (32bit) Read the manuals, and use HiTi tech support.....

I think this is a great little printer but if you are a Lightroom user forget using LR to print directly from, you will need to export out to PS to print which is a pain and more work. The machine will NOT read LR color profiles and basically that is what they try to avoid telling you with HiTi support. I shot a large event and had to print out 200+ images from each day's shoot for the next morning's presentation however the machine is not good with hard continuous use, it needs a rest in between batches. Also there was no mention about removing the trimmings in the inside container which got jammed on use and ripped the toner. Other than some of these issues the machine produced beautiful quality prints.
