Great Scanner
We've been using 2 of these scanners for a couple of years in our HR department. Recently we started a project of scanning all (1600) of our personnel files and this scanner has been great. With the various settings and 2 sided scanning it has made the project manageable. I would highly recommend this model.

USED FOR YEARS
I believe that this is one of the best scanners on the market. I use this scanner almost on a daily basis and love the results. The latest edition of the software allows great flexibilty in making changes in the documents you scan. You have to use and study the software to understand what it can do (many options) but it's worth it.

LOVE this scanner
Great scanner for a small-medium office archiving things to save storage room. I've had it for a little while now and just reached the 2000 page scanned mark. It has only jammed twice - once due to a missed staple (oops) and once because it was getting near it's cleaning time. Cleaned it and have scanned another 1000 pages with no problems. Love that it allows you to continue a scan when the feeder is empty so all pages in a large group end up in one file. Two-sided scanning is a breeze and doesn't noticeably take longer than a one-sided scan. Did have some difficulty with installation which turned out to be a software conflict specific to my computer, but the HP technical support person who was working with me was terrific.
