This is a great machine. I bought for my own Birthday present and fell in love with it. It prints great quality photo. I still did not get a chance to play too much with the features but so far so good. I wish I would have bought it earlier. This is a great tool if you scrapbook than you can print your pictures right there.

If print quality isn't good, why buy a photo printer? Fortunately, the A716 produces high-quality photos and much more. I have tried other photo printers before, only to return them when the print quality did not live up to claims that quality was comparable to drugstore/photo kiosk quality. Photos printed on Advanced paper from the A716 easily met that quality standard. Can't wait to try on Premium Plus paper to get even better quality. Printer setup was extremely easy - I was printing directly from my camera's memory card in a few minutes. Features on the A716 are great, too - a reasonably-sized LCD to view photos, simple photo editing tasks (like red-eye removal and cropping) can be done on the printer without a PC, and a small drive to store photos. Haven't tried other features like bluetooth, displaying photos on a TV, battery power for truly portable printing, but it is nice to know I can if I want to. Only downside is printing is a bit slow - around two minutes per print. I have tried other photo printers that are a good bit faster. Bottom line: print quality is excellent and printer has all the features I want. Highly recommended!

Based on the first few days, I could have given this very good marks. However, that's because I only did basic prints. After ordering the battery, ordering the bluetooth adapter, having purchased the car cord and a case, I thought this would be great. After all look at all the features. Then came reality. When using the crop and zoom features this unit had severe problems. I kept trying to crop by using the arrows indicating sides, top and bottom (4 way arrow button) with the wonderful "ok" button in the center. Instead, I found myself pressing the arrows only to have the unit zoom. Sometimes it would zoom to the max, then I'd decrease the zoom and have to start all over. An example would be to have zoomed to 2, then attempt to crop only to watch the unit zoom to the max. Why should the unit zoom uncontrolably when one is pressing the arrows to crop? After several incidents, I noticed that if it did this, whatever direction I was attempting to move to crop, if I used the opposite direction arrow, the zoom would also decrease. After several attempts as well as clearing and starting over, I sometimes would get lucky and the crop would work. If I wasn't successful, I'd turn the unit off then on again and start all over. Turning the unit off seemed to help the problem. Would I receommend this unit? Sorry, I absolutely cannot. My suggestion is if you purchase this unit, take the time and try every feature the first week. If it doesn't work correctly, take it back. Since this wasn't a unit I used frequently, I found it odd that at five months, this became a problem. For all I know, it may have been a problem from the onset. In any event, I guess this is why there are extended/ exchange warranties. I have finally finished the ink cartridge and this challenging though not pleasant experience. This unit will be returned. I definitely don't think this will be the model of choice when I purchase a new compact printer. Oh and for the record...I never did get to use that battery or bluetooth adapter. I can't tell you if those were even worth while. Greatly Dissappointed.

The print quality is very good, since it has one cartridge. It is compltely portable, and it fits perfect in the case that goes with it. I purchased the case to store this printer in. The printer works very good, and I will use it for printing out quick photos..

this machine is very handy despite the fact it should hold a bigger ink tank such as the hp97 like the photosmart475 you only get twenty to twenty-five picture if that much with this little 110 cartridge. the battery is useless with this machine it only lasts about 10 to 15 pictures before it displays a low battery signal. The 39 second time given in tha advertisement is also very misleading. it takes up to two minutes to complete picture the photosmart 716 needs a makeover.

I got this for Christmas ~ Thank you Santa, (actually, thank you to my hubby) I am a huge picture taker and I love to share my pic's wiith Family and Friends. This makes doing that so much easier. I don't have to mail out photo's... I can shoot, print and hand them out all in just minutes! I love the fact that I can do the editing right there on the printer - the frames, clip art, words and other "edit" and "features" make it a lot of fun! This is really simple to use - and it's not big and bulky so it's easy to carry around - not much bigger then my camera itself. I am currently using a small duffle bag to carry the printer, the accessories and my camera all in one easy location - I am about to order the Metro Style Case for the printer. Thank you HP for this High Quality Printer - It prints as well as my expensive HP home printer that I have and love!

Very user friendly, compact, light and excelent quality of picture. The transfer from the camera to the printer using the USB port was very easy and straight forward, just plugged it in and was in the process. The selection of pictures for copying and deleting is also very easy. The memory capability is a bonus for pictures storage, and folders by date is easy to follow. The remote control is very appropriate and the connection to the TV for pictures review and printing using the remote control is very practical and pleasing. My wife loves it.

It just depends on what you want it for. I can make a 4x6 and get six passport quailty pics on one sheet. Just plug the memory stick in and go to the menu pick passports and check the pics you want and print it. Great feature bulit right in. I don't know what else to say except it cost about .13 per 4x6. Hard to beat, then you don't need to plug it in. If you have a portable computer, photoshop and you are out in the middle of nowhere you can still print pics. You don't need your computer either. I have ran into compadibility problems with other printers but not with this one. I just hope the QUALITY is just as good. Let's see how many pics I get befor it brakes, it feel solid. Great Job HP!!!!!
