The HP 45/23 Combo-pack Inkjet Print Cartridges from HP home store was worth the expense. I searched other websites and yes you can find them at lower prices but the products shipped from those sites were so close to their expiration date (some already expired). I have also tried re-manufactured ink cartridges - they were a waste of money! HP cartridges proved to be the best for me. I was pleasantly surprised that this combo pair from HP home store actually costs less than the same one from office supply stores around me.

I bought this printer about 13 years ago and it has gone through about 4 computers. This printer (HP 712C) is durable and made to last. The ink for this printer is relatively inexpensive also.

I ordered a combo-pack of ink for my old 895Cse printer and the tri-color cartridge would not work. I believe the cartridge was "dried out" and the ink would not flow. My old cartridge, that I was replacing, still worked on some colors (red and blue - not green). You replaced the entire combo pack and the new color cartridge would not work either. To your credit, you credited my credit card in a very timely fashion.

Only one cell of the multi color ink cartridge was filled and it had green ink. I am sure someone got a chuckle out of that(manufacter). The return and credit were quick and painless. Customer service suggested the printer was bad, my problem could not be happening. Purchased new cartridge (HP) at Office Depot and it worked fine. Better quality control please!

Have only had one problem with this product and that was years ago. I simply kept an ink refill cartridge too long before using it as a replacement and it dried up.

45 black ink received was fine. 23 color ink did not print any color at all. Have submitted a request for exchange.

My cartridrige 23 arrrived defective,but customer service took care of it immediately. I had no problem with that,because things happen. I had at new cartidige the next day,at no charge.

The HP 45/23 Ink Cartridge Combo Pack was taken into consideration when you emailed a special 20% discount on ink purchases. All I needed was a colored ink cartridge but the discount made it all worthwhile. Thank you HP.

Only the blue ink was printing upon installation of the #23 Tri-Color cartridge. When I was re-packing the 45/23 combo pack in the original box for return & replacement, I noticed that part of the print head surface was stuck to the opaque blue protective material you must remove prior to installation. The color ink cartridge has a larger print head surface area than does the black, so I wonder if the color cartridge may be more prone to damage by the simple act of removing the blue protective strip? If so, one must be very careful when removing the blue protective strip material. (I've been using #23 cartridge for 13 years and this is my first challenge with a non-operative unit) I still give this combo pack & my Inkjet 882C an excellent overall rating!!! ... and trust the HP engineers will soon solve this challenge....

I ordered this ink for copying/printing that needed to be done immediately for a special function. I needed the colored ink most of all since my old color cartridge was pretty much spent. The ordering was easy and the ink arrived at my daughters home in good shape in the two business days as promised. That part was good. However when I put the new ink cartridge in.... all that happened was a grayish sludgy smudge. The new ink didn't work at all. My daughter printed off the return policy for me which was a nightmare to understand. I called the number given for a return mail label. The man tried to explain things to me but his accent made it impossible for me to understand him. Since I don't have a computer personally,my daughter accessed the url given and printed a label. It was hard to figure out since it was not an easy website to navigate. I will now have to make an inconvenient trip 20 some miles away to leave the packaged ink for FED EX pickup . My daughter also had to make a trip 70 + miles away to get me another color cartridge which is hard to find anywhere closer than that. That cost me an additional $56.00 plus on top of what I had already spent ordering directly from hewlett packard. A lot of frustration and extra expense.
