Good Paper

I'm always a little confused with paper weight from one type of paper to another. I've used a 300 gsm paper from Projet in matte for years and love it to print artwork and outlines to color in watercolor and these papers work so well for that. I wanted to try a glossier kind of paper not for using any media on it, but for the nice slick quality of glossy paper to reproduce artwork. I thought that 300 gsm would mean the same in this paper by Inkpress, but it's a lot thinner than I wanted. I was hoping to match the thickness of the matte paper, but it didn't.
