I consider LCD protection an absolute necessity. Not only do they keep sweat and skin oil off the LCD, they also protect it from scratches that can come from just about anything. And, as inexpensive as these are, there's no reason not to keep one on the camera and maybe an extra in my bag at all times.

Always nice to get a replacement without scratches so you have a nice clean view of the LCD. This is the stock cover from what I can tell.

This just basic protection for your camera. Since they tend to fall off or otherwise disappear, I keep a couple of them on hand at all times. I've used the adhesive protectors but they won't protect from a blow - only scratches - not the kind of protection you really need.
