Camera is a very tight fit, and the cover would not stay closed, since there is no clasp,snap, etc. I added an inch strip of velcro and cover is closed.

I bought the case for my college-age daughter as a Christmas gift to go with the Coolpix camera that I also purchased. At my ripe-old age, my comprehension of "cool" is a bit lacking, but my daughter verfied that the case passed the "cool" test with flying colors. I like the word "Coolpix" on the case and the craftsmanship of the case itself. It is stylish, but durable.

I got this because it was the only one listed but I really don't like it. No zipper (so things don't fall out), no strap so your hands are free - I don't always have a belt on for the belt loop, and no place to put extra memory cards or charged batteries. I'm going to go get a Targus case instead. Until then, I will use this. It's OK for when I know I won't need a memory card or extra battery.

Found it at Nikon website. Don't use this case unless I'm "dressed up". I use a camera daily for work on various jobsites.... Consequently, I use a more utilitarian case that will take more abuse, and has room for a spare battery and card.

Pros: It's a great product at this price! It looks pretty neat and fits just perfectly. Cons : It doesn't have any space to carry spare batteries or memory cards though. And I would have liked it better if it had a clip in stead of a loop that goes only around a belt!! I agree, it provides more protection that way. But everytime I need to unbuckle my belt in order to get this out. Overall, it's a great product.

Wonderful leather case for new Nikon S600 point and shoot camera. Belt loop is very handy and the magnetic flap stays firmly in place.

The Nikon 5811 case, although suggested for the Nikon Coolpix S51 camera, is too small. It's a tight squeeze to get the camera in. Placing the camera in the case can accidentally turn the power button on. Not recommended for the Coolpix S51 camera.
