This is the best inkjet paper I have found to replicate the traditional darkroom papers. Innova has perfectly captured the subtle texture of these fine papers, and it prints beautifully on my Epson Pro 3880 fine art printer. I use it for both black and white and color, but find it really excels with the black and white. Just a superb paper, and the surface perfectly replicates the air-dried glossy fiber-based darkroom papers of old, which most people today would call semi-gloss. It looks just like the finest vintage fiber prints you've seen in art galleries and museums. I only use this paper for my fine-art prints that go into galleries and photography shows.

I am a professional fine art photographer and this is my preferred paper for my finest work, in both color and black-and-white. I have found no other paper that prints better on my Epson Pro 3880 and, most important, it replicates the air-dried glossy darkroom papers of the past. It is white, but not bright white. And even though it is called "gloss," the F-type surface is a reference to the glossy fiber-based darkroom papers that were air dried and thus ended up with a semi-gloss, low-sheen appearance. This is the kind of surface finish that was preferred in galleries for decades. It is rich and beautiful looking. Not cheap looking like high gloss. Also, while the surface is smooth, it has a slight texture, which adds elegance (also replicating the old fiber-based darkroom papers). You can't beat this paper for quality of printing or excellence of presentation. My work is frequently in galleries and it always looks great on this paper. I use it for 16 x 20 prints on 17x22, or cut it in half for 11x17, or in half again for 8.5x11. Just a great paper, well worth the price.

Revolutionary Media for B&W and Color Printing...
Innova Art is very excited to introduce a revolutionary inkjet paper with a coated fibre surface bonded to an acid-free base, the F-Type Gloss Fiba print. The sought for achievement of the finest digital black and white and color printing included the search for a paper capable of emulating the unique and timeless surface qualities of traditional bromide prints. Finally the search is over!
The Innova F-type Gloss represents nothing less than a quantum leap in digital printing. This breakthrough fibre based media gives inkjet prints a traditional look and feel that has until now, been unachievable with digital print technology.
The F-Type Gloss' specially formulated surface coating makes the most of pigment inks from the major manufacturers and achieves a stunning print finish. It works particularly well with Epson's latest Ultrachrome K3 pigment inks, which now are offered in three grades of black, to render superior digital photographic prints that must be seen to be believed.
The F-Type gloss has a Dmax of 2.7, higher than traditional fibre papers (AgfaMulticontrast Fibrer Classic, Dmax 2.3) to execute outstanding depth and details in the blacks. Expect smooth tonal gradients and superb black & white punch yet the ablity to also deliver soft pastel colors with accute visual sharpness where needed.
This amazing advance in paper technology was tested by the gifted photographer Danny Chau. (www.chaudigital.com.) Chau, a renowned black & white guru with over 23 years of experience in professional archive and exhibition printing has an enduring passion for the subject to this day. "This paper delivers the widest gamut of any paper we've ever come across".
Digital fine art photography and exhibition printing will never be the same again. Give your prints the medium they deserve, Innova F-Type Gloss the new standard in archival B& W and color photographic papers.
