Fantastic - great colors, crisp images
I was looking for a replacement for Nikon D40 that I had and considered Nikon D7000 and Canon T5i.
Nikon has laid back colors, Canon's colrs are good however low ISO is bad.
This one is exactly what I need.. Extremely good pics, even at 3200 ISO, bold colors and of course the pentaprism viewfinder. Additional bonus is a professional body with tons of features and WR.
The 18-135 lens is the best, this range covers ewverything u would need daily. Suddenly, I am able to do close ups and capture emotions without letting people know. Specific to this lens, the images are sharp and clear, focusing is super fast.
If you go too much in details.. thsi one has exactly what is needed - 11 AF pts with 9 cross, AF in body, IS etc.

Best camera for price
I would recommend pentax system and especially K5-II who ever interested in it. Pentax definitely not the biggest system available but cameras are the best in the price range, lens choices are broad (no need VR-IS lenses), and Limiteds :3

Rugged and refined
Very well built camera. I've gotten it wet taking photos of the dogs at the lake with wet hands. It's been snowed on while hiking in a blizzard, temps well below freezing. Never a problem with the camera, or the weather resistant kit lens. Resolution is good enough for 20" prints. Battery life, high ISO picture quality, color rendition, all excellent. Hard to find flaws with this one.
Just returned from a 2-week epic adventure in Europe, came back with suprisingly great photos considering my mediocre skill level.

A worthy upgrade from K7
Having owned a Pentax K7 for 4 years, I have upgraded to this K5II and it is well worth it. First, the AF system is such a treat to use. I could focus at near pitch darkness. Second, the sensor upgrade is like a dream. The new sensor is at least 2 stops faster (to achieve similar IQ), making it much usable for wildlife photography (without an extremely fast lens).

This is a glorious cam.
All its features cover even the highest user demands, including HDR, very low light shooting capability, negligible shutter lag and very high quality video.
Only disadvantage the lack of full manual video settings (although you an trick the camera into adjusting ISO and shutter speed during video mode, through USER Av AE-L) and autofocus during video shooting. However, one experienced user can fully take advantage of the video mode without complaints!

Reliable and robust camera
I've tested this camera for a week and it drove me to go from my K-30 to this one. It is reliable, easy to use and robust. It will be of a great use in the field.
