I am spoiled by full frame tech, this camera is a good walkaround camera, the lens quality seems off slightly, would like something more robust
I love this camera! I haven't shot with my Nikon since getting it
Small. Light. Very fast focus, especially great with face detection. Low high ISO noise. This is my 3rd body. One body for each lens to avoid dust getting to CMOS when changing lens and is still lighter and smaller (bag) than one DSLR body with 3 lens. Love it.
I love it. Its great & excellent. Ido like to recommend this to all my friends
Wow upgraded from NEX 7 and this autofocus is blazing
It is my first professional camera. It is easy to use and to personalize. I really like it and the quality of the pictures is great. It is also super light and small to carry during vacations.
Great Camera! What else can you say. Everything is great - Image Quality, Compactness, Ergonomics. Pretty much anything a photographer could ask for in a camera.
I purchased a closeout a5000 bundle with 2 lenses to see how the Sony mirrorless DSLR systems compared to my larger heavier Canon 5D series rig I use. Smaller, lighter and more convenient for 'walkaround' casual photography. I purchased an a6000 body to have both lenses available for any shooting situation. The a6000 proved itself on bright sunny days that would wash out the viewscreen on my a5000 - and have both cameras and lenses ready for any situation. Any system is finally limited by the quality of its lenses. The Sony kit lenses are ok - 'good enough' for internet posting and vacation videos and pictures - even on my new 60" Sony TV. I'm impressed enough to try some e-mount prime lenses for more serious work.
This is a camera fits most of the needs. Good for a beginner or as a secondary for a serious player.
I bought this camera over Black Friday weekend and received it less than a week later. I have no experience using cameras nicer than iPhone cameras, and really wanted one that was not as expensive as a dslr but could have similar functions as one. I was looking for something that could both record video and take good quality pictures, which I believe is this one! For videos, I like how I have the option to make the background blurry when it focuses on one object, or have a clear view of everything. For pictures, I also have this option. The only thing that I docked a star off for is because of the user friendliness... I'm a beginner so I'm still learning how to use all the features, and it's not super intuitive. I also wish it had a flip up screen to see myself when vlogging or taking pictures (which I actually thought it did before I bought it). However, it does come with a wifi program that allows you to see what you are taking from your phone before you take it. You can also buy an hdmi for the camera and connect it to a tv or desktop computer to see. Overall, lots to learn about this camera but I'm loving the quality of the images and videos!
