required for Sony Flash bracket or tripod mount

If you wish to use your flash on an off camera bracket that has a tripod style screw lock in, then this is required. It does the job well, but with Sony's newest flash one also needs the multi adapter mounted to this adapter to be able to mount the flash.

Very handy, but it is not sturdy.

This is the weak link between flash and flash bar. There can be a lot of torque with a flash and it tends to give way before the hotshoe on the flash - which is a good thing. I've bought four over the course of about 5 years.
