Update to my earlier review

These were used on location as main and fill. The good about the kit: the case helps to transport everything. The bad: I had to send a battery pack back for a faulty transformer, then send a monilight back for new internals since it failed to fire. Both happended within months of ordering. The electronics are very cheap and the recycle time past a certain point is way too long to be useful. I would stay away at all costs. Save longer and go for the Bowens Gemini 400RX as I am going to do.

Well worth the money

I took this kit with me to photograph a 3 month old baby and used one light with a 2 x 3 softbox & the other light with included umbrella for fill. I was very pleased with results and the recycle time was very quick at 1/4 power. The lightstands are very sturdy, the batteries are light and make location shooting very easy, having the dual use of AC power is a bonus. The lights have an aluminum body & feel sturdy and the carrying case makes it all easy to transport. One of the battery units makes a loud squelching noise but I emailed JTL and they gave me an RMA number and are sending a replacement. For the price you will not find a kit this well made.

The JTL DL-600 is a Mobilight Travel Kit. The kit contains Mobilight 301 Unit, 750 Air Cushioned Stand, 36" Silver Umbrella, 33" Transparent Umbrella & Wheeled Studio Carrying Case. The JTL Mobilight is designed like the Versalight series for on-location and studio photographers, but the Mobilight series can vary its power source. It can draw its power from either a battery or an electric outlet, so it is not bound by the physical limits of a wire or cord.
