Ink smudge on right side of printed pages

bought replacement imagining unit when the original was getting down to 20%ish. Waited to install new unit until old one expired. New unit printed with embarrassing quality right out of the box but by that time i was past the return policy. Moral of the story don't buy until you need to. $110 +/- wasted.
