I use my medium and large format film cameras as digital cameras by processing the film and then scanning the negatives to make a digital negative, then I use Photoshop CS6 to process and print. The only color film I use is Kodak Ektar as it provides the finest grained and sharpest negatives available.

I wanted an inexpensive color negative film for my Yashica TLR camera. I process the film myself. I am quite pleased with the film to capture the colors and contrast.

This film can't be beat for the cost. It's very close to slide film qualities and blues to die for. It probably is best suited for landscape.

Good bang for it's buck and gives that slight green paired with a tiny bit of wash. Cheapest of the Kodak options now, but great as a bread n butter film for everything.

Ektar is a fantastic color film that renders reds and greens in a fantastic fashion... I primarily use Ektar for landscapes or urban environments where I want pop in my greens and reds and for darker moody light that I want to take advantage of.. Because of it being heavy on the reds I do not shoot people very often with it especially if they are Caucasian as it sometimes makes them look pinker than they are. Ektar is my go to specialty film and when I do use it there is no need for photoshop silliness... it is perfect the way it is.

I use this film in a Kiev medium format camera. The film always looks great after development. The colors and contrast are always sharp and exactly how I want.

I got this as it was recommended by a fellow friend who also shoots medium format and since I do street photography he informed me that I would love this film for it and sure enough he was correct. I love the color, congrats and details that it retains in every image. Glad I picked it up.

Ken Rockwell recommends North Coast Photo Lab in CA for their great enhanced scans. So I asked the lab president which would give me the best results, Fuji Velvia or Ektar 100, and he said Ektar! He was right!And with the Ektar you get the wonderful exposure latitude of a color negative film, as opposed to the very narrow "right or wrong" exposure needed with chromes or digital capture.

This stuff is pretty good when you get the expodure right on. Treat it like you would transparency film and the results might impress.

i have been buying and using KODAK film for over 40 years ... i love it !!! its of strong,excellent quality and ALWAYS reliable .. i am worried that the 120 size film will be phased out completely ... that scares me because i have 4 Hasselblads that feed on this type of gourmet film !!! ... dont want to have to use Fuji or some other non-American brand. KEEP KODAK FILM ALIVE !!! please pass it on ... james

this product was perfect for my new Duaflex. i rerolled the 120 film onto the 620 spool without problems and the photos turned out great!

A great slow film that I love to use in my thinking man's classic 120 film camera. Although I shoot mostly digital now, I like to use my old classic manual camera and create real masterpieces

Works better with moderate to bright light. I used this product in a 645 camera and was surprised how well it enlarged (45X30) with little quality loss.

Took this film with along with a bag of B&W and 160NC to use with my blad. I was very impressed by the grain, slightly better than the 160NC. The colours are very nice and eye catching. Great for landscape and architectonic work. Skin tones were a bit meh, wouldn't use it for portraits. Great film will be using this and 160NC from now on.

This is a spectacular film when used with the right subject. It is sharp, vivid, and contrasty (as are most slower films). The grain is near-invisible even at high magnification, and it scans superbly. It doesn't look great in every light, though. On gray overcast days it tends to take on an unappealing green cast. In bright, saturated daylight it seems to look better shot at 64-80 rather than at box 100 speed. Aside from these caveats, i'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

Colors have more than enough punch, the grain is outstanding, and the tonal range is very, very impressive. I am constantly amazed at what I can pull out of the shadows with this film.

I have tried this film in 35mm and 120mm and there is no punch to the color and the color is not accurate. I do not think it is as good as the normal Kodak 200 daylight film or Kodak High Definition. It is definitely not in the same league as Kodak Ultra Color or Porta and Fuji Reala.
