The free shipping was quick. The order was placed on Sunday and arrived in Wisconsin on Friday. The construction and ergonomics are excellent. It has attached diopter lens caps that seal well and are attached to the body, the eye lens cap was removable so I added some thread to attach it to the body at the strap. I also liked that they were compact and light. I bought the binoculars for boating on Lake Superior. They worked great, especially at night when they gather light. They were a real asset navigating on a moonless night with cloud cover in the St. Louis Bay. The 6X-8X power is what the Coast Guard recommends.

I wanted a pair of 8x (lower power) binoculars to take out on lake Superior for boating and kayaking. I looked at the lower end products, treating them as a throwaway in case they got wet or trashed. I looked at similar priced products. Leupold has a good reputation. My hope is if they stamp water proof on something, it will be. I like the rubber lens caps, and the light weight compact size (they will be carried in my life jacket pocket, so size, weight, and waterproofness where the priority). I will update the review, after a few months of use. Ordering through Adorama was easy, and the free shipping to the Midwest (WI) took 5 days, I ordered them on Sunday night and they arrived Friday morning.
