AS usual the transaction was flawless and the lens hood fits better than the canon that I lost.

It is difficult to align the threads and secure the hood to the lens. If it's bumped it still falls off. Next time I would just go with the Canon hood that was designed for the lens. Just trying to save a few bucks. Didn't work out so great this time.

Nice lens hood for my kit lens, and far less expensive than the actual Canon lens hood.

GIven the price of Canon's lens hood, this is certainly a better buy...even though it's a bit tricky to attach. With a little practice, it's fine and definitely serves the purpose.

Purchased this to replace an original Canon lens hood that I lost. It looks like the real thing and that's about it. Very light weight and not near the build of the original Canon - however, it does what it was designed to do.

I recently ordered this along with Canon 28mm-135mm f/3.5-5.6. I needed a lens hood because I do a lot of photography outdoors, and I just wanted to block out any unwanted light. Simply put, it works just fine, and it is far cheaper than the alternative.

I had a 3 stage rubber lens hood at 1st because Canon will not include a lens hood on regular lenses, only on their "L"-Pro lenses !?! After the rubber lens hood gave out, I bought this dedicated Adorama lens hood and I'm glad I did. It is so much more durable AND it will take bumps better than soft rubber lens hoods. The Adorama lens hood looks the same and performs the same as the named brand Canon lens hood but at a fraction of the price. And it's dedicated to my zoom lens. Kudows to Adorama for making this product !!

I purchased this lens hood for use with a refurbished Canon 28-135mm IS zoom lens. I also have the original EW-78BII lens hood that came with my previous lens. The original was made by Canon, and has the same product number, but the new one is lighter, fits tighter, and is missing the fuzzy black coating on the inside. I still prefer the original, but there is nothing wrong with the new version. It's a little disconcerting though that it's not made by Canon in Japan anymore.

Purchased as an add-on, this hood has a nice tight fit, and feels solid enough to be used in the field, yet flexible enough not to break if you bump it aginst something. I won't shoot without it. It is hard to find pro quality pieces like this at such a great price. Buy it, you will not be dissapointed!

I wasn't sure how sturdy this lens hood would be but I was pleasantly surprised. I am glad I chose this hood over the more expensive Canon version. I have not noticed the alignment issues that some others have commented about. Would recommend to my friends.

The Adorama Dedicated Lens Hood for Canon EF 28-135 IS Lens (EW-78B-II) by Adorama fits the Canon lens perfectly and for a fraction of the OEM lens hood.

Very pleased with item. I see no need to pay the big money for the Canon version. The hood fits great, and it stores in the backwards position as well. Only con is plastic is a little cheap but it's not a deal breaker for me. I would almost bet the Canon version is the same material.

Fits perfectly and does the job for less $$$. Only complaint is that the inside surface does not have a non-reflective surface. I don't know that this will ever be a problem, but some of my other lens hoods do.

This product simply does the job and does it well. I started using it on a bright sunny day, shooting a football game. My photographs came out great while my husbands had a hazy cast to his photographs, I had the lens hood his didn't. Good test, we both have the same kind of camera.

One of the most important accessories for each lens you own. A lens hood provides multiple functions: it shades the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality; in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens; and it protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles.
