Without a doubt, the LG 23ET83V is the most satisfying touchscreen I've used. The clarity and colors are outstanding from any angle. The 10-point touch input is responsive without noticeable lag. Over the past month, I've used it with both Windows 7 and 8 and have no complaints with either. I do mostly graphic design and photo editing with the monitor, and so I like to use it at a low slant similar to a conventional drafting table. At first, I was hesitant to buy the monitor because the stand appeared to be designed primary for an upright orientation, which would not be comfortable for the type of work I do. An undocumented, pleasant surprise is that you can turn the stand and lay it on its back. Doing so allows the monitor to extend over the edge of my desk at a perfect pitch. My arms and hands easily reach the surface, and the position of the image is just right for my eye sight (with bifocals#. The touch monitor is comfortable and natural to use in this position. This orientation also puts the on/off switch and monitor input buttons at the top, out of the way of accidental swipes. #You do need to tell your graphics card to invert the image for this approach.# I use the touch monitor in tandem with a pen input tablet. Touch is great for navigating menus, file management, surfing the web, etc. For detailed graphics editing and drawing, however, I use a pressure sensitive tablet. I'm pleased that the tablet and LG display play well together. Switching back and forth between the touch monitor and the tablet is very fluid, with no conflicts. I also have a pen-input monitor costing much more, but I prefer using the LG Touch in combination with a tablet. The size and clarity of the LG display is so much better, and I like the pen out of the way #on my lap) when doing detailed work on an image. My only complaint about the monitor is the power brick on the electrical cord. The brick sometimes makes a slight whining sound. Not a big deal, though.
