The rechargeable battery is not replaceable. When the battery is done, the key board is done. I really liked using it . . . comfortable, sleek design, great charger. I contacted Logitech, but there is no support when the battery is dead. Other customer comments on the various web sites confirm my experience. I know it still works as the bluetooth is connected and the keyboard can be used in the charger. Unfortunately the charger keeps that keyboard at about a 90 degree angle. Not very ergonomic. So I'm still debating whether to replace this with another or buy something different. The buyer has to decide if they like it enough to replace it every 2 or 3 years.
