I've had this TV for ten years and it's the first "flat screen" for me, replacing old console CRT TV. Way better picture and sound than old style systems. Easy to move/relocate etc. Finally needed repair for back-light replacement. Much better reliability than vacuum tube models!

No network connection we have three LG tvs they all do this after 3 or 4 yrs. We?ve tried resetting it unplugging and done pretty much everything listed on their website.

I bought this as an upgrade. The new software allows streaming from free internet sites as PlutoTV, TubiTV, as well as LG internet channels. Plus the firmware still allows the user to selectively force the tuner to select a TV station which may go in and out depending on the weather with the antenna.

I got a tv in February as a gift and have always used the phones and other LG products. Am very satisfied except I can't get Disney plus on the smart world store for the TV and a few of my other premium apps. Everything else is great.

connected an ethernet cable directly to this a week ago and it won't load Beachbody on Demand. If it does load it takes forever. guessing that the processor is just too lame.

It only worked for 6 months and then started shutting off randomly and turning itself back on. Smart feature won’t work at all.

After a year the screen went black. After searching the web this has happened to thousands of people and is a known issue that LG refuses to fix. This seems to happen to everyone right when the warranty runs out. The repair shop estimate was more than the TV cost. I will never buy another LG television again. 42LN5700

I purchased this television 1 year ago from HSN. It worked great in the beginning. Thirteen months after purchase the screen went black. Cannot get it fixed because it is 1 month out of warranty. I checked consumer complaints about this TV and over 5,0000 people have had the same problem. Save yourself the headache and do not purchase this television. They do not have a fix for this problem.

Great picture and features. I have used this TV as our main TV for viewing for over a year and have had no problems. Easy access to the applications and simple navigation with menus. Speakers are a little lacking, but we use external speakers for sound so no problem.

I bought this TV in Jan 2014 for its smart features. I did an in depth comparison with all the sets this size, and was not disappointed in this TV. I especially like being able to link to my computers and show all the family pictures located in multiple spots.

The only problem with TV is sound is a little low sometines. You have to turn up volume and lower it sometimes. I probably could use a sound bar. I think all flat screens have a sound problem thou.

This tv is awesome in every aspect. Its designed really well it really compliments any room you put it in. The picture quality is really crisp and clear. It is also very smooth i play fast paced games and never have an issue. The tv is easy to navigate using the smart features and everything is well placed. Another awesome feature that most people dont know about is you can hook up a wireless keyboard and mouse to this tv and it works flawlessly. It has just enough hdmi anf usb ports to handle anyones needs. I love this tv and so will anyone who buys it. The only thing its missing is sn on off feature for the wifi and it would be perfect but i still give it a full review because it deserves no less. Ive always been a loysl customer to lg because i know everytime i buy lg im getting the best.

This is my first SmartTV. I love the features and love the aps. However, I am having one problem. I am not sure to call my cable company or Geek Squad at the store where I bought the TV Intermittently the picture gets darker and I have to either turn the tv off then on or adjust the brightness. it is already at max. I am not sure what is wrong.

I bought this unit for my office to use with clients as a computer display and for our advisors' training videos. Wow did I get more than I paid for. The set up was a piece of cake and the quality of the picture is awesome. The smart functions are impressive and really easy to use. I would recommend this unit to anyone an for the price it is a screaming deal.

The first thing I noticed was the picture was beautiful. It's really nice that it has 3 USB ports and 3 HDMI ports. The remote is laid out very well. The quick menu let's you access the apps. I was impressed by the speed of the built in apps. In fact, since I have it, I disconnected my Chromecast because the TV is faster. I was able to tune the motion blur to tone down the "soap opera" effect. The speakers are on par with other manufacturers. It was ok for watching movies and the virtual surround sound surprised me. The limitations came when I streamed music to it. You could not hear the lows in the music but, it's a television; not a stereo system. There is a built in media player that plays mkvs so, that was really good. I have it on a stand so, I wish the stand could swivel. That is my only gripe.

Picture is great, HD is awesome. The apps are easy to set up and use. I never had a TV that didn't have to be hard wired to cable, internet, etc. but this one works perfectly everytime.
