This TV was a gift from a friend. It was fine for a couple years until one day it just started turning black after being on for a minute or two. Audio still plays but no picture. It worked fine up until this. Very horrible experience. Will not buy LG for our next TV.

The TV is so capable, we don't even use all of its features. But, the color and quality it has makes it a wonderful mainstream TV.

I liked this when I bought it and it worked almost great until few days ago when the screen went completely black while the audio was still coming. TV is out of warranty and I understand from reviews posted by people here as well as at other forums that this is a known problem. LG should do a product recall if they want consumers to buy LG products ever again.

This TV is my first LED Smart TV. My experience has been very rewarding with this product. Even though I am technically oriented, it is, in my opinion veary easy to set up, no matter how complicated your setup is.

The majority of the features are good and easy to navigate through. The main negative design of the unit is the location of the one speaker on the rear. For a high tech TV as the 55LN5700 it should have stereo speakers mounted so that the sound is projected toward the viewer not the wall. LG may have designed it that way to force the consumer to purchase an external speaker system!

This tv is pretty awesome, and I haven't even begun to look at the "smart" aspects of it! The picture quality is unbelievable. When people come over they say they feel like they are part of the movie its that real, not to mention that if you watch scary movies with the lights off you really think the monsters are coming into your family room and I'm dead serious about that. I was watching The Conjuring and a door opened and I swear it opened right into my house. On a lighter side, my sister said that she felt like she was in the yard with the Bradys when I had the Brady Bunch on. It is quite remarkable. And the price was very inexpensive for the size and quality of this set. Once I look at the "smart" features I'm sure I will love it even more, it might even vacuum the house for me. Thanks for such a great product.

This a TV worth bragging about!!! It can do everything. The clarity of the picture is awesome and the remote is user friendly. I love that it has all of the apps I use already built in like Netflix and YouTube. And if I want to use the computer the TV is great for that also. The size is perfect, the weight is great nearly anyone can move is single handedly. Love it!!!

This TV has been nothing short of amazing for us. The sound, the picture...awesome! I love that I can get "old" movies etc on features such as Amazon and youtube, without having to change remotes, and inputs. The sound is amazing...and of course, the size is nothing to sneeze at!

I have had my 50'' Plasma for several years without any issues, my wife and I decided to get another LG for our new family room. we got the LG 55" 3D Smart TV, after hooking it up we were blown away with clarity and such a major difference in the viewing that we actually watched movies we've seen before just to experience them on this TV. My wife connected it to her Smart phone and enjoys that, the apps are outstanding, I do Photography work, so its cool to connect to my computer and see my pics on a 55" monitor, the only thing left to get for this TV is the Magic Remote, that will make this TV perfect for me and my family. ......LG im impressed ..... Thank You

I had a older lg and was ready to get a newer one look around and found this new lg just what I won't had everything that I was looking for great picture very good sound easy to hook up. love the smart tv and internet have a lg sound bar put it on top of tv wife and I love to listing to old music. great sound over tv and sound bar. am so glad I got this one if your looking fo a great tv this is the one.

This is a great TV for the money. I just wish they had Amazon Prime & Netflix added to their "smart" options APP for watching movies. I'm already a paid member to these sites and it would be much easier to use the preset APP's to access these to watch movies instead of having to go through the hassle of using the web-browser to pull up these sites. Otherwise no complaints

This TV is the best I have ever owned; There may be better TV's out there but I can't imagine any being so much better that I could discern a difference. Out of the box and operating in 30 minutes. Like all big flat screens the sound out of the TV speakers is low but I solved that with a sound bar. The operating manuals leave something to be desired but operation quickly becomes intuitive.

We love it, works great so far (five months. Sound a little tricky but hoping a sound bar will help w/hearing voices a little better. Overall we really like it and hope getting a magic remote will help when trying to surf the web.

Great TV thus far, Intel Wireless works better than any other wireless TV I have or have had by far. Apps are great, Streaming Video such as Netflix works Great. Just over all a great value. Very Easy to set up as well--

I have researched several TVs in pursuit of getting my first big screen LED/LCD HDTV Smart TV. LG's model was not on my list, but at the end of the research, what I am sure about is that this TV deserves to be on your list if you are shopping TVs. Its feature full and I try to highlight features that I use and like the most. 1. Smarthub has all the right apps. (Netflix, Youtube and Amazon prime are the ones I use the most). The apps are not only frequently updated and made better, they all stream HD quality video as long as you have the right internet speed. Awesome. 2. 3 HDMI ports and 3 USB. The right number I needed. 3. The TV 'plays nice' with my existing home theatre system that's from a different brand, via extremely well implemented HDMI CEC and HDMI ARC. If you need help configuring, pls comment. 4. The power saving features work extremely well and adjusts brightness/contrast ratio as night approaches. Very pleasing on the eyes. 5. 2 User configurable video settings and an inbuilt picture calibrator. Helps right setting per your liking. 6. The build quality feels solid and the matte screen does an okay job with preventing reflections. I have owned this for over a month now and only have good things to say. The browser on the TV may not be the fastest one out there, but it does play flash enabled videos, so with some patience, it does work. Hopefully a subsequent app update will fix the bugginess. Thats my only gripe. As I said, if you are in the market for a big-screen HDTV Smart TV, this one deserves to be on your list for consideration.

This is a great product. It was extremely easy to setup and get running full speed. The LED back lighting offers a very thin profile with minimal weight. Perhaps one of the most outstanding features is its wide angle viewing along with picture clarity. All of our guests can see the action from any angle. I highly recommend this product to everyone.

This TV along with having a superior picture, has a seamless and very fast access of the Netflix, YouTube and other features. This is the best Netflix streaming I have ever seen and I have used almost everything up this point. I would recommend this TV to anyone.
