Easy to attach to the flash with the ultra strap. Easy to store in camera bag due to the small size. Lacks instructions for the beginning photographer.

I use this when shooing indoors. With Tungsten chosen on your DSLR, throw on the CTO GEL on a bare (430/530ex)flash. This will warm up the picture so beautifully. It will also act as a soft filter. The light warm orange effect against the camera's Tungsten WB gives your pictures a nice Naturel look. I do this for 1 light strobe'n! I also use the RED and BLUE gels. (Just get GELS and play around with your flashes.)

The lumiQuest Gel pouch is on all of my speedlights. Period. It carries the needed gels in its pouch while on the flash - no brainer. Post processing time decreases - no brainer. Don't know what the other guy was complaining about when he pointed out that the ends of his gels got banged around while in his bag...I guess this is a bad thing then?!? Who cares about the edges of your gels. However, I would like it if the storage pouch were as tight as the shoot-through sleeve so that my "other" gels that are not being used would not fall out so easily. I recently did a wedding where two moms and four grandmas were helping me pick up my gels while they blew around over an asphalt parking lot. Its simple; if you want to color correct or add color for effect when using your speedlights then get this product at the same time you purchase your flash...you'll be glad you did.

Wishing I hadn't ignored all the poor reviews of this product. I like the concept, but this just isn't worth the hassle. Especially having to permanently affix velcro to your flash, which can interfere with other flash accessories. It's far cheaper, easier and quicker to just tape a gel to the front of your flash.

Works great for adding gels to your flash. Get the roscolux swatch book to go with it and you've got every color imaginable.

The attached wallet that stores the gels and the window that holds the gels in front of the flash are smaller than the gel. So when I throw it into my bag the ends of the gels get banged around. Pretty lame and too expensive to boot.
