I tried using this as a boom arm with a small mono light and it just couldn't hold the weight, works great for a small hot shoe flash and small umbrella.

Grip head and knuckle combo are poorly machined. The boom pole only fits into the smallest holes (out of 3 choices) and still doesn't completely close around the pole when knuckle is tightened (about 1/4" gap)

really useful arm i use with my videolights and with my stativs.Until now no problem!

For mounting on lightstand you need to use grip head and adjust the grip to fit on the pole
