About Manhattan Edit Workshop 5-DAY TRAINING: Avid Media Composer 101 #AMC101

This five-day intensive course provides students with exposure to the core skills, workflow, and concepts involved in nonlinear editing on Avid Media Composer system. Covers editing and effects techniques for both Macintosh and Windows systems. Session time is divided between demonstration and hands-on practice, with ample time for experimentation with sample material. This course is also appropriate for Avid Symphony users. Topics include Capturing media and preparing for editing, organizing source material in bins, basic editing techniques with sync and non-sync material, trimming and fine-tuning video and audio, customizing the system, working in the timeline, enhancing audio, creating horizontal effects, creating multilayered and nested effects, basics ofthe 3D warp effect, using keyframes, understanding effects performance and rendering, automatic color correction, creating titles, creating motion effects,managing projects and media and outputting work. Prerequisite: No familiarity with the system is necessary. Completion of a Macintosh introductory course or equivalent experience is required. A background in editing, production, or post-production is strongly recommended.
