I ordered this mic to replace a broken microphone on a friend's kareoke machine. Being a low-end machine, he didn't want to spend a lot of money for a mic. When the mic arrived, I was amazed at the quality, especially considering the price! This mic is fairly heavy, and feels as if the enclosure is made from metal, and not cheap plastic. The mic itself is finished in a dark grey color, and has an on/off switch to mute the mic. It also includes a 20 foot long detachable black cable with an XLR connector on the mic end, and a 1/4" (unbalanced) phone plug on the other end. The microphone and cable appear to be durable and work great. Sound quality is much better than the with original mic that came with the kareoke machine, but being a low end machine, I didn't have a chance to do any critical listening. The only negative thing I can think of (and this is really minor) is the bright, shiny silver finish of the XLR connector on he mic cable. Although it shouldn't matter for most users, if you plan on using this mic for video work, you may run into issues with lighting glare reflecting off the cable's XLR connector. Considering the incredibly low price of this mic, this is really nit-picking. Over all, this microphone is an incredible bargain!
