From the AV Line, the M4250-10G2XF-PoE+ 12-Port 240W Managed Switch is a high-performance device engineered specifically for 1G AV over IP applications. With its rear-facing ports, it ensures a seamless and tidy integration into AV racks, making it an ideal choice for professional setups.
This managed switch is designed for ease of use, arriving pre-configured for immediate functionality straight out of the box. It features a unique AV-oriented, web-based GUI that allows for factory or user-specified profiles to be assigned to individual ports as needed, simplifying the configuration process.
The M4250-10G2XF-PoE+ is suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments, thanks to its adjustable fans that can be turned off under certain conditions. Even in its default Quiet mode, it operates more silently than most other switches in the market.
The device is equipped with our proprietary NETGEAR IGMP Plus feature, set from the factory to ensure out-of-the-box functionality for most AV over IP installations. This feature significantly reduces the engineering time required to get your system up and running.
With multiple mounting options, this managed switch offers ultimate flexibility. It features industry-standard sized threaded mounting holes built into the chassis, allowing for mounting behind a display or clamping to a truss.
The M4250-10G2XF-PoE+ is built with a dedicated AV web-based GUI interface, designed specifically for AV professionals. It allows for quick assignment of profiles to ports for common audio protocols such as Dante, AES67, and AVB. Please note that AVB requires a separate license.
The switch also comes with built-in video profiles for NVX, SVSI, Q-SYS, and Dante, which can be easily assigned to ports as needed. It supports both Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, making it a versatile choice for multi-switch audio or single-switch video deployments.
The M4250-10G2XF-PoE+ offers a range of control methods, including a built-in IT web GUI, console, telnet, and SSH, consistent with other NETGEAR M4xxx series. It also includes standard network features such as static, RIP and PIM routing, DHCP Server, and PTPv2.
For mounting flexibility, the switch offers rackmount versatility with a 1U, 200mm deep rackmount design, with all power and Ethernet ports on the back. It also allows for reversed mounting with ports in the front, including recessed mounting to protect cables. Universal mounting is made possible with bottom M5 and front M10 threaded holes.
Finally, the M4250-10G2XF-PoE+ features adjustable fan functionality, offering a Quiet mode with 39.22dB@25 Degree C (all ports used, 240W PoE), and a fanless mode with a maximum 25 Degree C ambient, 35 Degree C internal sensor. This ensures optimal performance while maintaining a quiet operating environment.
