I swapped over to the spider holster system and I can't believe what a difference is made. The ability to carry a gimbal with a camera in my side holster ready to take images without faffing about with straps has made my workflow so much easier. Highly recommend

I have had spider plates for years and the new upgraded strap and plate is awesome that it fits right into my tripod and the hand strap upgrade is much more comfortable and easy to attach to my camera.

The new version of the camera plates are so much lighter & easier to use on my mirrorless cameras. No more taking off the plate just to put the lens adapter on.

I've been using this plate on my Lumix cameras for several years. I love it -- I'm here to buy more for new cameras at work. This plate is lighter and slimmer than the original and doesn't interfere with lens mounting on narrower camera bodies, like many of the newer mirrorless bodies. Its sliding mount is perfect for fitting any camera, and the integrated Arca rails fit all my tripods. If you're not carrying really large lenses and huge bodies all the time, this is the perfect plate.

ok so love my mirrorless plate, although I had the plate start to loosen last week. I think though it's because I have 2 Right plates. However, when I checked I didn't see an option to request a Left. On the old ones it was an option but I guess it's an additional purchase. Whoops.

I upgraded my camera bodies to Nikon Mirrorless a year ago and while my DSLR holster camera plate still worked fine with my new bodies, I like how I can now leave the new mirrorless camera plate in place and still use my tripod, making my transitions much more efficient. Having access to the battery door is a great added bonus too!

I bought the Spider Camera Holster several months ago because my shoulders and neck were hurting from camera straps. I bought the single version for mirrorless cameras. Initially I couldn't get use to the weight on the hips, but realized later I just needed to adjust where the belt is sitting. I was shooting an event where I would need another camera with a different lens, but I didn't want to carry a bag. I carried two cameras from the holster after using the plate and another holster I bought from Spider. Sturdy with ease of use. Highly recommend.

The plate for the mirrorless camera works as great as the plate for the regular camera. AND when combined with the hand grip/strap it is a fantastic combination. Highly recommend both.

You can't really tighten the screw by just using the thumb lever. The thumb lever got broken easily in a single use so I have to make sure I have the provided wrench always and should not lose for me to use when needed.

Even though, Spider Camera Holster customer service stated that this plate might not work with my Canon RP with the extension grip on it; it does! All reviews that I have read reference compatibility with Nikon and Sony mirrorless cameras, but not the RP. This plate fits beautifully and is super tight! I would love one made for the left-side. But, what can you do? Thanks Spider for another fantastic product.

The new version of the plate works perfectly with the Nikon Z6/Z7 with or without the FTZ adaptor on. I'd still like to be able to have a left or right option like the bigger plates, though.

I use it to carry my Nikon Z7 when I am out on location as well as in studio and I love it. It doesn't put any strain on my body like the neck straps do. Highly recommend!

I think this is the best quick release system invented. This thing fits Mirrorless cameras and most every film slr out there. Well built and solid. Works well with the Spyder belt clip. I have one for each of my cameras.

I LOVE the spider light QR plates and use them on my Nikon D850s! (Have to grind down the stops, not supposed to but I prefer these plates to the bulky ones.) When I bought a Nikon Z6 I had to further modify a regular Spider light plate but it still didn't fit quite well and pushed up against the FTZ adapter in a way I didn't like. I was overjoyed to find out a special update of this awesome plate was made just for the Z cameras and man the difference is really noticeable. Well, unless you haven't tried the old version on a Nikon Z, in which case it will just plain work and be amazeballs. Seriously, if you own a Nikon Z camera get this plate. Women and men will swoon in your path, babies will coo and dogs and cats will proclaim you the best photographer they've ever met. And you will take the best squirrel photos ever, guaranteed! *Not a guarantee*

I had to make sure that the plate fit so that i could change the lens with the FTZ adaptor. It worked,but I couldnt be bothered walking with my wife and shooting so I did not use it with my belt. Some day soon.
