I ordered this lens on a Sunday night before Christmas. I called the next day after ordering to see if it would Arrive before Christmas Eve. Customer service expedited shipping free of charge and I received from Lenz the next day. Very very happy. If the lines is absolutely fantastic everything I expected it to be. Thank you Adorama!

I immediately took some candid photos of my dog and cat (and then on to the anole on the porch) to check it out upon arrival. This lens is crisp. The VR is a little noisy but after reading many reviews and articles online I came to the conclusion that it is a good copy and just something to get used to. In a quiet situation when I would normally be using a tripod anyway I will probably turn off the VR to reduce my presence.

This lens has been on my wish-list of lenses since it first came out, because I like macro photography and the ?2.8 provides for nice creamy backgrounds, as well as being faster than kit lenses for variable focal-length lenses. Autofocus sometimes has to ?hunt? for the correct focal point, typically when the primary point of interest doesn?t contrast with its surroundings. However, manual focus is super easy and I generally use it, along with autofocus to verify the focus. It is a hefty lens, but appears to be sturdy. The few images I?ve made since buying it a few weeks ago have been sharp from edge to edge. I?ve mostly played around with the macro focusing and have found it to be sharp, albeit with the extremely limited depth of field, which is expected with macro photography. I like that the filter size of 62mm is the same as a couple of other lenses I have, which makes it convenient.

A lens to have in your collection. You may not use as much but when you do you will know why. A must have! Great bokeh on close ups. Crisp pictures. I have rented this lens and wish I would have bought it a lot sooner

This lens has been on the want list for years. Primary use for micro shot of newborn details. Still refining manuel shooting to get those details. But, I was surprised how versatile it was and used it for portrait as well. Wishing I hadn't waited so long, by far the best purchase in 2020.

I love this lens. It’s very quick to focus n my D500 and the images are wicked sharp. Love it for macro work and it’s just top shelf as a portrait lens. Highest recommendation. When I bought this item it was back ordered everywhere, Adorama got it for me quickly and didn’t charge my cad until they shipped it. All items arrived. This was a large amount of accessories at the same price as lens itself, so I wasn’t expecting much. The UV filter is quite tinted and affects the color of the photos. The downloads for photo processing don’t work. There are some nice lens cleaning supplies. The lens itself is fantastic. I should have gotten this lens years ago.

This guy really upped my macro game. Got into macro using reversing rings and expansion tubes but this new lens has got it all over that setup! I’ve yet to use it for portraits but I hear it is also great for that... Looking forward to trying it out on those too!
