Porta Brace Polar Mitten for the Sony HVR A1U & HDR-HC1 Video Cameras

The Polar mitten, designed for the Mini-DV camera, is a smaller version of the popular Polar Bear case that keeps the camcorder warm in cold temperatures. It is thickly padded with a high loft insulation material. It has air activated warmers placed inside the case that maintain interior temperatures, to keep the battery, recorder, lens, and hands warm.

The Polar mitten is tested at minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The one hand opening at the lens is enclosed with a fleece cuff for warm access. Suede leather handles make the Polar mitten comfortable to carry. A lens hood is included in the case to protect the lens during transport. It also prevents condensation from forming when bringing Polar mitten in from the cold. This Polar mitten comes with 4 heat packs.
