I've been using Photogenic studio lights for over 20 years and they are super reliable and well made. The line of Photogenic accessory items, reflectors, and light modifiers is also impressive and reasonably priced. I'm very satisfied with 1250C light and can use it as a key or fill light in the studio.

Fired about 20-30 shots (first time out of the box). left the room, strobe still on; heard loud shrill sound, and "pop". Came back to find oil dripping out on carpet and sparks from front.

I have two of these in my studio. I've owned them for over ten years and have never had to even change a bulb yet (knock wood)! They are truly indestructible monolights. If you are looking for a LONG-LASTING, DURABLE, WELL-CONSTRUCTED product then look no further. These lights are easy to use, have all the features a professional needs, and do not break the budget. I use one in a large 36x48 softbox as a key, the other with a 42 inch unmbrella as fill, and some other smaller strobes as effect (hair, backlight etc.). I've been so happy with the Photogenic products. I can't say enough about how great these PL-1250's are!

I have been using Photogenic Powerlights for 10 years. I actually have 7 total lights, 2 of the 1875s which I take to Weddings. I have never had any problems with any of the lights. They are very reliable. I would recommend them to anyone whether just starting in photography or a seasoned pro.
